Italian Festival in Bronx, New York
September 11th, 2016 – Noon to 6pm
Going back centuries, the Ferragosto tradition recognizes the end of the harvest season and to enjoy the fruits of those labors. It is a way for families to engage in part of the Italian culture and coming together in a solid bond of family and friendship.
Over 15 years ago, merchants of the Arthur Avenue/Belmont section decided to bring the Italian tradition to the Bronx and engage visitors from the Tri-State area and beyond in Italian culture, traditions, music and of course, the greatest food. The Ferragosto event continues to grow each year with an average of 20-25,000 guests who travel from near and far to make it part of their family tradition.
